  • Pebblegogy: Ideas and activities to inspire and engage learners

Pebblegogy is a book that will help tutors and learning designers create meaningful activities that will support their curricula. Written by PebblePad experts and informed by contributions from experienced practitioners in the UK and Australia, Pebblegogy will appeal to those new to PebblePad who want practical guidance in making best use of the personal learning space. For those who are already experts, the book offers a rich source of inspiration for designing engaging and motivating learning experiences with PebblePad.

Pebblegogy is written for practitioners in higher education, further education and professional bodies.

    About the authors

Shane Sutherland worked in higher education for 10 years with a wonderfully diverse portfolio encompassing first year experience, technology supported learning and as a designer and tutor of the PG Cert. Shane is one of the original designers of PebblePad and continues to lead its ongoing improvement in his role as development director.

Since then, she has used PebblePad personally and professionally for her own learning. Jane has a background of over fifteen years of writing distance and online learning for professional development.

Sarah Chesney, MEd, FHEA has used PebblePad for a number of years with her postgraduate students. Sarah has worked in higher education for seven years, specialising in educational development and e–learning. Sarah has published a number of articles around the topic of e–portfolios and contributed to the book Developing Effective Assessment in Higher Education.
